Les Granges du Château de Ribourdin
Book the Granges du Château de Ribourdin for your weekend or holiday in Burgundy!
Housed in the former outbuildings of this 16th-century château, this 14-person gîte will win you over with its charm, decoration and comfort!
There are 5 bedrooms, one of which is accessible to people with reduced mobility. They are air-conditioned and each has its own bathroom and toilet. Beds will be made and towels provided.
You will enjoy a large 75m2 room with a lounge, fireplace, large dining table and fully equipped kitchen.
There is also a second room where you can spend some quality time. Here you'll find billiards, table football, darts and a range of board games.
You'll also have access to the large flower-filled garden, which has won awards in flower competitions.
Here you can enjoy meals, a wide range of activities (pétanque, badminton, table tennis, croquet, bowling, etc.) and, of course, the swimming pool.
Open from mid-May to the end of September and covered by a telescopic cover, you can enjoy it even on gloomy days.
For moments of relaxation and sharing, you can take advantage of a top-of-the-range outdoor spa for 5 people, available all year round.
The historic and enchanting setting and warm atmosphere of the Granges du Château de Ribourdin make it an exceptional place for an unforgettable stay in Burgundy!
Sensitive to current climate change, aware that every gesture counts and that efforts must be made by everyone, we are committed to responsible, sustainable tourism that respects nature, and have been trying for some years to minimise our impact on nature! We have decided to go even further in our quest for energy efficiency, water consumption, waste reduction and awareness-raising thanks to the "Sustainable Tourism Fund" from ADEME. We have put in place a number of simple actions to help protect the environment! To conserve water resources, we have fitted all our sanitary fittings with water-saving flush mechanisms and all our washbasin and shower taps with aerators that considerably reduce the flow rate without impacting on user comfort. In the garden, systematically mulching our plants with wood shavings or flax straw allows us to reduce the frequency of watering. In addition, the flowerbeds are irrigated using a drip and micro-sprinkler system that limits the volume of water used. To protect water quality, we use as many natural cleaning products as possible, such as white vinegar or products bearing the EU Ecolabel. For floor cleaning, we use a water-saving broom to reduce our consumption. To save energy, we have replaced some of our electric convector heaters with more economical heating systems: heat pump and pellet stove. We have also insulated the attic with cellulose wadding, an environmentally-friendly insulation material that offers improved thermal resistance and a long phase shift, improving both winter and summer comfort. We have replaced almost 90% of our light bulbs with LED lighting, and have purchased low-energy household appliances. In particular, we have equipped ourselves with a professional heat pump tumble dryer, which has enabled us to halve our electricity consumption in this area. In terms of waste reduction and recovery, we have done away with individually packaged reception products, soap and shower gel, thanks to the use of dispensers. Recycling, waste sorting and composting have become systematic and we give priority to recycling objects by giving them a second life. We also favour short circuits and promote local products and producers. We're passionate about seasonal and homemade produce, and we make almost 40 different varieties of jam, which we'll be delighted to show you during your stay! We have taken an "Ecogestures and tourist accommodation" course to improve our actions. We also try to make our visitors aware of these small gestures that everyone can reproduce at home, thanks to an educational display. In 2022, we signed the "Charte des Hébergeurs de Puisaye pour un Tourisme Du-rable et Responsable" set up by the Puisaye-Forterre Tourist Office. We achieved the 2nd of 3 levels of eligibility, having met at least 90% of the mandatory criteria and 50% of the "Plus" criteria!
