Laurence & Xavier, nature and hiking enthusiasts (designers of totally original walking trails for their guests, starting from the gîte, to get off the beaten track) open the doors to an authentic, charming, fully restored 18th century wine-growing outbuilding (formerly linked to the estate which occupied the premises, of which the imposing original "press" still stands on the courtyard side) nestled in a quiet area, on the edge of a lane, in the heart of a picturesque, perfectly preserved little wine-growing village, nestled in a "panoramic balcony" on the exposed "east" hillside, from where you can see Mont Blanc on a clear day. Total tranquility nestled in a literal postcard landscape, in the heart of the rolling countryside of the Côtes Chalonnaises, in the hollow of a plateau of vineyards (of the famous "Val d'Or"), on the slopes of a wooded hill protected in "Natura 2000 Zone" & ZNIEFF (for its faunal & floristic riches), sheltering at its summit the ruins of the medieval fortified castle of Montaigu, built in the 10th century, full of great history (having played a notable role in the wars of religion), overlooking the sublime Vallée des Vaux & the Val de Saône in the extension of the hill of "Montabon" covered with a vast forest.
