The authentic atmosphere of an old working pottery workshop
Along the road between Saint-Sauveur-en-Puisaye and Moutiers-en-Puisaye stands this welcoming house, a light shade of autumnal ochre, with large blue sandstone pots lining the doorway. Enter the house, this is the shop and the start of the tour of the Bâtisse pottery. Discover the various pottery wheels, the old kiln and all the creations, including Colette's pencil pot!

Founded in the 18th century, La Bâtisse has seen 10 generations of potters pass from father to son. In the 1930 workshop still in activity where ancestral gestures are reproduced: the kneading of the clay, the turning and the enamelling, the Poterie de la Bâtisse will make you travel through time!

Self-guided or guided tours: all year round, Tuesday to Saturday, 10 am to 12 pm and 2 pm to 6 pm. Sundays from June to August from 3 to 6 p.m. (closed at 5 p.m. from October to February). Closed in January.
