Exhibitions, workshops, tastings, a restaurant and a shop: La Maison du Charolais does everything right. This museum space tells the story of the Charolais breed, born from farming practices that respect the natural environment and now the emblem of its home territory, the Charolais-Brionnais.

These interactive visits allow both children and adults to meet this exceptional breed in an engaging and enjoyable way.

In Charolles, Michelin-starred chef Frédéric Doucet draws inspiration from local products to create emotion, especially through Charolais beef, which he showcases in his restaurant.

His cuisine is full of flavour, designed to surprise guests and leave a lasting, heartfelt memory. He sources his produce from local farmers or directly from his own kitchen garden.

Free-range farm poultry

Since 1795, the Marcelizon Farm has been family-run, raising Charolais cattle and free-range poultry. After visiting the farm, enjoy direct sales and take home excellent fresh products: eggs, chickens, roosters, capons and various terrines.

Meet the other stars of the local terroir

To discover another PDO from the Mâconnais, head to Ferme des Bien Vivants. Cécile, Matthieu and Étienne joined forces to create this farm, where they raise 160 goats.

Visitors can explore freely or enjoy a guided tour of the goat farm and the cheese dairy.

Charolais beef sold directly from the farm

Isabelle and Laurent Billoux welcome you to Ferme de la Garaudaine, a typical organic Charolais farm. The livestock includes Charolais cattle, calves and lambs.

The farmers have opened a direct-sales space offering their own meat.
