The Château de Montigny-sur-Aube (MH) is a must-see in the National Forest Park, combining heritage, culture, arboriculture and gastronomy. Surrounded by 4 hectares of walled grounds, the castle and its chapel, a jewel of the Renaissance, are surrounded by a moat that has been restored to its original state, and stand in the middle of picturesque parkland dating from the early 19th century. Visitors are given an audioguide on arrival, enabling them to discover all the architectural treasures of this site at their own pace, with anecdotes to make for a lively and dynamic visit. The nineteenth-century orchards and gardens, which back onto the park and its orangery, are listed as Remarkable Gardens of France. An exceptional collection of espaliered fruit varieties (over 200), as well as vegetable and aromatic varieties, offers an extraordinary spectacle where each tree, thanks to the audioguide, tells you its historical and gustatory particularities.
